Volleyball Recap: Mapleton Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Mapleton won the last time they faced St. Mary Central Catholic, and Paige Beattie did her part to make sure it happened again. The Mounties put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday with plenty of help from Beattie, who had 16 digs and five aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-13, 25-17.

Mapleton's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5. As for St. Mary Central Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Mapleton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Crestview on the 4th. As for St. Mary Central Catholic, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Northwood on the 4th.
