The Somerset Academy Losee Lions were the 36-32 winner over the Sunrise Mountain Miners when they last played one another on Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. Somerset Academy Losee took a 38-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sunrise Mountain.
Despite the loss, Somerset Academy Losee still got an impressive performance from Akaylah Thrower, who scored ten points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Jayla Lewis was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Somerset Academy Losee's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Sunrise Mountain, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Somerset Academy Losee won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Las Vegas at 12:00 p.m. on December 23rd. Las Vegas is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Sunrise Mountain is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Southwest EC at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th. Southwest EC will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 1052nd in California, while Sunrise Mountain is ranked 25th in Nevada).
