The Master's Academy won the last time they faced Christian Family Academy and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Lions put the hurt on the Fire with a sharp  13-3 win. Considering the Lions have won six games by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Sawyer Waugh and  Conrad Schmidt made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound,  Waugh   tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Schmidt   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Waugh has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances. At the plate,  Waugh  went 3-for-5 with two  triples, four  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Schmidt  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most  RBI  Waugh has posted since back in April of 2024.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact as  seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Eli Goodwin, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2.  Noah Lail also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
 The Master's Academy was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christian Family Academy only posted a  batting average of  .231.
The  victory made it two in a row for The Master's Academy and  bumps their season record up to 6-2. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5  runs in those games. As for Christian Family Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the  loss, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. The Master's Academy is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Lake Lure Classical Academy  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Christian Family Academy will  square off against  rival Community Christian Academy  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
