Crespi (Encino, Calif.) extended its winning streak to seven games with a 20-7 victory over
Loyola (Los Angeles, Calif.) on Saturday.
The Celts were up 10-7 at the half after taking the lead on a field goal in the first quarter.
Crespi expanded its lead to 10 points entering the fourth quarter. CHS scored once in the quarter on a punt return touchdown by
Devond Dade.
The Cubs' lone touchdown came on a pass in the second quarter.
The Encino school came into the game allowing 14.5 points per game. Loyola's seven points were well below its season average of 26.2 per game.
The victory will ease some of the sting of the Celts' close 36-35 loss to LHS last season.
In a Serra game next week Crespi (7-0) takes on Notre Dame, and Loyola (5-2) will go up against Notre Dame also in a Serra game.
