The Covington Buccs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 87-54 defeat at the hands of Troy Christian. Covington has not had much luck with Troy Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Several Buccs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryson Hite, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Britton Miller, who scored 13 points.
Covington's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Troy Christian, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covington will face off against Bethel at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Troy Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Milton-Union at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Milton-Union focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday.
