The Nicholas County Grizzlies pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The game between Nicholas County and Oak Hill wasn't particularly close, with Nicholas County falling 73-56. Nicholas County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cole Brown and Trey Stump certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Brown scored 20 points along with 5 rebounds, while Stump scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Morriston, who scored 6 points.
Nicholas County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Oak Hill, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Nicholas County will head out on the road to face off against WestSide at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Hill will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Graham at 12:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
