The Chatham HomeSchool Thunder suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 105-65 defeat at the hands of South Charlotte T. Chatham HomeSchool was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-33.
Chatham HomeSchool's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gray Cable, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jacob Kirby, who scored 14 points.
South Charlotte T's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Rullo, who went 8 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 36 points and 2 assists. Rullo also pulled down eight rebounds for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Hill, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 assists.
This is the second loss in a row for Chatham HomeSchool and nudges their season record down to 11-7. As for South Charlotte T, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8.
Chatham HomeSchool's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Greater Vision Academy at 8:00 p.m. on January 5th. Greater Vision Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Chatham HomeSchool likes a good challenge. South Charlotte T will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Providence Athletic Club at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th.
