The Warren Bears's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They snuck past La Salle with a 48-43 victory. For Warren, this counts as revenge for the 59-56 defeat La Salle walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2017.
Leading Warren to victory were Luis Perez and Ahmed Bah. Perez scored 9 points, while Bah scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jorge Mota, who scored 7 points.
When it comes to explaining why La Salle lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ryan Hajjar. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with 4 steals. Hajjar scored a full 51.2% of La Salle's points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Anthony Gibbs was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 13 rebounds.
The victory got Warren back to even at 3-3. As for La Salle, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Warren will head out on the road to face off against Servite at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Servite presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Warren in California (Servite is ranked 263rd, while Warren is ranked 648th). As for La Salle, they will be playing at home against Providence at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Providence has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 385 points over their last six contests.
