The Forsyth Panthers will take on the Marionville Comets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Forsyth is returning to their home field after beating Miller on theirs, despite the fact Miller has dominated at home this season. The Panthers came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 13-9 on Monday.

Lauren Turner was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Lili Roberts was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Zoe White, who went 2-for-5 with four runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Marionville made easy work of Southwest on Monday and carried off an 18-6 win. Considering the Comets have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Forsyth, Marionville also got a great game from a two-way player: Brooklyn Holder. On the mound, she pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Holder was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maggie Murphy, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, five runs, and three RBI. Anna Bright was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs.
Marionville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southwest only posted an OBP of .333.
Forsyth is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-15 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Marionville, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Forsyth has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .435. However, it's not like Marionville struggles in that department as they've averaged .487. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Forsyth was able to grind out a solid win over Marionville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 9-4. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Comets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
