Liberty North has been on the road for two straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Raytown South Cardinals at 7:45 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, it was close, but Liberty North sidestepped Bishop Miege for a 50-48 win. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Liberty North has scored all year.
Even though Raytown South has not done well against Kearney recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Raytown South secured a 41-37 W over Kearney. The win was just what Raytown South needed coming off of a 74-54 defeat in their prior match.
Liberty North's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Raytown South, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
