Kylar Mai of Dayspring Christian Academy ran for the longest rushing play in A-8 North - Plains (8 Man) this season against Justice last week. Mai scampered for 90 yards on the play and finished with 293 on the day as his team topped the Phoenix.
Dayspring Christian Academy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Justice, 66-8. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Akron's dynamic duo of Jared Clarkson and Levi Basler proved to be unstoppable against Rocky Mountain Lutheran, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Clarkson threw for 116 yards and 1 touchdown and Basler had 40 yards receiving. Garret Basler helped Akron's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 44 yards.
Mai provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Eagles topped Nels Thoreson's team.
Mai was a force in the backfield as Dayspring Christian Academy bested the Phoenix.
Sedgwick County's Trey Walter and Chase Dunker led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Walter has thrown for 1,098 yards this season, while Dunker has 23 catches for 439 yards. Mai from the Eagles leads the league in rushing with 1,503 yards.
Dayspring Christian Academy took down Justice 66-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Mai ran for 293 yards during the win.
