After a string of three wins, the Woodmore Wildcats's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost to Danbury on the road by a decisive 42-25 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Woodmore has scored all season.
Maci Brown continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Danbury, scoring nine points along with ten steals and five assists. Brown is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kelly Uhinck, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Woodmore's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Danbury, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodmore will take on Lake at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. Danbury will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Genoa Area at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Genoa Area will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 311th, while Danbury is ranked 106th).
