Basketball Recap: Fishers' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Fishers's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 53-43 win over the Fort Wayne Snider Panthers. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Fishers found their leader in sophomore Reagan Reiff, who went 7-for-10 en route to 17 points in addition to six boards and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reiff has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Makayla Triplett, who posted 15 points.

Fishers was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They are 4-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

When it comes to explaining why Fort Wayne Snider lost, don't look at Gracie Smith. Despite the final result, she earned ten points and three steals. Smith is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 40% in the last six games she's played. Treasure Jordan was another key player, putting up eight points.

The victory snapped Fishers' losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record. As for Fort Wayne Snider, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Fishers will face off against Castle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Wayne Snider, they will be playing at home against Fort Wayne South Side at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
