Stoughton dropped down to 3-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against Mount Horeb/Barneveld, falling 44-19. While losing is never fun, Stoughton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 137th, while Mount Horeb/Barneveld is ranked 36th).

As for Mount Horeb/Barneveld, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1. Considering they have won three games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Brooks Hendrickson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 288 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 46 yards. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hayden Anderson, who picked up 96 receiving yards and one score.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Stoughton is set to challenge their familiar foe Portage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mount Horeb/Barneveld will face off against rival Sauk Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
