Nimitz is 0-10 against Spring since February of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cougars will host the Lions at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Friday, Nimitz didn't have quite enough to beat Eisenhower and fell 11-10.

Josephine Bilbao made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Antinia Wilson, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, Spring waltzed into their match on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wildcats an 18-0 shutout. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by ten runs or more this season.
Mikayla Zepeda looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Hailey Jones-Calais was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Maleah Grounds, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3.
Spring always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .792. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .594 or higher in six consecutive games.
Spring pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Nimitz, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Nimitz has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Spring struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Nimitz might still be hurting after the 14-2 defeat they got from Spring in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Cougars have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
