The Lincoln Cardinals won the last time they faced the Roosevelt Roughriders, and things went their way on Thursday too. Lincoln simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Roosevelt 70-27 on the road.
Lincoln was led to victory by Ella Greene and Siri Lindsey. Greene scored 18 points, while Lindsey scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Hannah Greene, who scored nine points.
Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Roosevelt, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will square off against Cleveland at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cleveland will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lincoln surely won't give up without a fight. As for Roosevelt, they will head out on the road to challenge Jefferson at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Roosevelt is coming into the match with six straight losses on the road, meaning Jefferson will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
