Cary Academy found their leader in sophomore Gabrielle Young, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Young a new career-high in blocks (three). Avni Lutz was another key player, putting up 13 points and eight rebounds.

Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that South Wake blew Durham Flight HomeSchool out of the water with a 65-12 final score. The Sabres have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 games by 24 points or more this season.

Cary Academy now has a winning record of 9-8. As for South Wake, their win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-1.
