Timmy Maher and Danny Ziebell provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Branford. The connection was good for 67 yards, the longest such play in Southern Connecticut Division II - West this season.
Hillhouse extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Guilford, 20-18. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Law's dynamic duo of Maher and Ziebell proved tough for the Hornets to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Maher threw for 138 yards and two touchdowns and Ziebell had 108 yards receiving. Daron Britt helped Law's passing attack out by catching two balls for 30 yards.
Alex Borkowski was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 187 yards on 21 carries as Branford fell to Branford. Devan Hall also contributed to the rushing game with 141 yards on the ground.
Branford's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dj Ryan has thrown for 359 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Justin Blood has nine catches for 181 yards. Borkowski leads the league in rushing with 767 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Indians take on Mike Tracy's team. Guilford is in fourth place, while the Hornets are in second place.
Branford led the league in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on Law. Blood ran for 129 yards and caught three passes for 83 yards in the win.
