Elba's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Wysocki, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Wysocki's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of JarahLynn Morrow, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
St. Edward's loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-10. As for Elba, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.
