Baptist Prep's 13-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. The contest between Baptist Prep and Perryville wasn't particularly close, with Baptist Prep falling 46-28.
Meanwhile, everything went Lamar's way against Dover on Tuesday as Lamar made off with a 56-35 win. Given Lamar's advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Dover is ranked 236th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lamar's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lane Miller, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Green, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Baptist Prep bumped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lamar, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Baptist Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Lamar when the teams last played back in January, winning 53-45. Will Baptist Prep repeat their success, or does Lamar have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
