The Vashon Island Pirates will be playing at home against the Life Christian Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Vashon Island fell victim to Cascade Christian's stalwart defense on Saturday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 62-0 defeat at the hands of the Cougars. While losing is never fun, Vashon Island can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Cascade Christian is ranked 96th).
Meanwhile, Life Christian Academy can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. Everything went their way against Bellevue Christian as Life Christian Academy made off with a 31-8 victory. The victory was just what Life Christian Academy needed coming off of a 36-13 defeat in their prior game.
Life Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jabez Boyd, who threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Julian Roso, who picked up 131 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
This is the second loss in a row for Vashon Island and nudges their season record down to 1-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 3.5 points per game. As for Life Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Vashon Island against Life Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 34-6 win.
