Soccer Recap: Cocoa Beach Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Cocoa Beach's and Rockledge's game on Wednesday was close at halftime, but Cocoa Beach turned on the heat in the second half with three goals. The Cocoa Beach Minutemen put the hurt on the Rockledge Raiders with a sharp 5-2 win. The victory was nothing new for the Minutemen as they're now sitting on three straight.

They hit Rockledge with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Malachi Hensley (2), Max Perez, Chase Cobb, and Javier Gonzalez.

Cocoa Beach is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-1-1 record this season. As for Rockledge, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cocoa Beach will venture away from home to square off against St. Cloud at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cocoa Beach is facing St. Cloud at the right time seeing as St. Cloud is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Rockledge, they are taking a road trip to challenge Eau Gallie at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
