Burroughs is 1-9 against Pasadena since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Burroughs Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pasadena Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. Burroughs will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 281st, while Pasadena is ranked 37th).
On Tuesday, things could have been worse for Burroughs, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 70-54 loss to Arcadia. Burroughs has not had much luck with Arcadia recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite their defeat, Burroughs saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Landon Everhart, who scored ten points along with six blocks, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Kardosh, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Pasadena entered their tilt with Hoover with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Pasadena breezed by Hoover at home to the tune of 68-38. That 30 points margin sets a new team best for Pasadena this season.
Burroughs' defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Pasadena, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
