The Kennedy Titans will take on the American Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kennedy has three straight wins, American has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, Kennedy got the win against Mission San Jose by a conclusive 13-2.

The team relied heavily on Lucienne Sotelo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatyana Corrales, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Kennedy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 3.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 11.2.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, American was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against Newark Memorial, falling 14-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Amber Hillman was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Dhawani Badala, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.
Kennedy's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for American, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
American's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Kennedy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for American, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will Kennedy keep running through batters, or will the Eagles buck the trend?
Everything went Kennedy's way against American when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Kennedy made off with a 9-0 win. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
