Weymouth has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Needham Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Weymouth earned a 26-15 win over Framingham.
Meanwhile, after only nine points in their last match, Needham made sure to put some points up on the board against Braintree on Friday. Everything went Needham's way against Braintree as Needham made off with a 42-21 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-7.
Needham can attribute much of their success to Tate J Hoffmeister, who rushed for 145 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. J Hoffmeister is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Griffin Carr was another key contributor, throwing for 188 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
Weymouth has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in five of their first six matches, giving them a 5-1 record. As for Needham, their victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-1.
Weymouth was taken down by Needham 27-0 in their previous matchup back in September of 2022. Will Weymouth have more luck at home instead of on the road?
