While Reed-Custer didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-12-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by a 6-3 margin over the Plano Reapers on Monday. Reed-Custer might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by three goals or more this season.

They hit Plano with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Aurora Haake (3), Gwen Stewart (2), and Hailey Compton.

Reed-Custer pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three games. As for Plano, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reed-Custer will head out to challenge Manteno at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Manteno's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Plano, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodstock at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
