The Stratford Tigers will challenge the Nekoosa Papermakers at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Stratford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
Stratford's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Chequamegon with a sharp 9-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Tria Tubbs made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gracie Schmidt, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Carly Pankratz was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Nekoosa finally came back down to earth on Friday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (12-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Their defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Ashlyn Garza was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Teyarra Jones also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Nekoosa's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Stratford, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Stratford has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. However, it's not like Nekoosa struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Stratford got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 against Nekoosa by a conclusive 15-6 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Papermakers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
