St. Francis waltzed into their contest on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the St. Patrick Shamrocks.

The team relied heavily on Maddy Doornbos, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Margot Schaffler was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: St. Francis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matchups.

The victory got St. Francis back to even at 10-10. As for St. Patrick, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-9.

St. Francis has already played their next game, an 11-0 defeat against Sacred Heart Academy on the 16th. St. Patrick has also already played their next contest (against Central Montcalm), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
