The Concord Yellowjackets gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past Homer 74-41 at home. For Concord, this counts as revenge for the 63-35 loss Homer walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
Leading Concord to victory were Jett Smith and Mekhi Wingfield. Smith scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals, while Wingfield scored 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Medellin, who scored 9 points along with 5 steals.
Concord's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Homer, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
