The Buford Yellowjackets will head out on the road to face off against the Chesterfield Golden Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Buford is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Buford's 8-3 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. Their rough 40-15 defeat to North Central on Friday might stick with them for a while.
The losing side was boosted by Aaron Morris, who picked up 85 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Chesterfield fell victim to Andrew Jackson's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Volunteers, falling 56-0. With that loss, Chesterfield now have a six game overall losing streak to go with their drought on the road.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 1-6.
Buford beat Chesterfield 49-42 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Buford since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
