After a string of four wins, Syracuse's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were outmatched by Hugoton at home and fell 72-39. Syracuse has not had much luck with Hugoton recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Wallace County's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 69-35 loss at the hands of Stanton County. Wallace County was down 58-30 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Syracuse's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Wallace County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
