The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for SA Roosevelt in their matchups with Johnson: they've now lost seven in a row.
Tyriana Robinson was SA Roosevelt's leading scorer, having posted 11 points.
Maddison Castillo held things down on the boards with six rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with four assists.
Johnson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mackenzie Donald out in front who scored 14 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Taryn Johnson, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
SA Roosevelt has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 18 of their last 20 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-23 record this season. As for Johnson, they now have a winning record of 16-15.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Brandeis the next time they take the court. Johnson will host Brandeis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while SA Roosevelt will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
