Marshall were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They put the hurt on Lindale with a sharp 47-21 victory.
Marshall's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 20 first-half points. Lindale wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 14 to make it 20-14 heading into the break. Marshall put the matchup away in the third quarter with 20 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense. The win got them back to even at 2-2. The defeat dropped Lindale's record to 1-3.
Marshall will be playing at home against Hallsville at at 7:30 PM next week. These teams both have set a high bar for this game after stand-out offensive performances in their previous contests. As for Lindale, they will face off against Nacogdoches. Lindale have seen their point totals decreasing over the past three games, a vulnerability Nacogdoches are surely hoping to exploit.
