Idea Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 54-31 walloping at the hands of IDEA Edinburg College Prep.
Idea Academy's loss came about despite a quality game from Layla Perez, who scored 18 points along with nine steals and eight rebounds. Perez scored a full 58.1% of Idea Academy's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Sepulvda, who scored no points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, IDEA North Mission's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in November after their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They suffered a rough 44-24 loss at the hands of IDEA Quest College Prep.
Idea Academy's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-1. As for IDEA North Mission, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1.
Idea Academy took their win against IDEA North Mission when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 31-11. Does Idea Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will IDEA North Mission turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
