Hampshire gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Jacobs Golden Eagles by a score of 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Whip-Purs in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

While Hampshire won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-15.

Elizabeth King paced Hampshire's offense, picking up 11 kills. King got some help from Kylie Lambert and her 16 assists. Finally, Lambert was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Hampshire wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Antioch on the 27th. As for Jacobs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Prairie Ridge on the 28th.
