The Eureka Hornets were the 91-24 winner over the Flanagan-Cornell Falcons when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Eureka fell to Flanagan-Cornell 52-48.
It was another big night for Kesler Collins, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds for Flanagan-Cornell. The matchup was Collins' 17th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Ruddy, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Eureka's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Flanagan-Cornell, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-5.
Eureka will take on Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Flanagan-Cornell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tremont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
