The North Central Eagles were the 57-54 winner over the Edon Bombers when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. North Central took a 48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bombers on Friday. North Central just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gage Kidston, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Cohen Meyers was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds.
North Central has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Edon, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Central will take on the Locomotives at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Ohio (Montpelier is ranked 660th, while the Eagles are ranked 665th). As for Edon, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Vikings at 7:30 p.m.
