It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Speedway Sparkplugs had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Continentals 56-12 on the road. Speedway has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Speedway to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daniella Galvez, who scored 13 points along with two steals. Galvez hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Mylie Walton was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists and two steals.
Speedway is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Indianapolis Washington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
Speedway won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Indianapolis Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
