Bandys proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by nine) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Maiden Blue Devils. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Bandys' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Maiden, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bandys is set to take on their familiar foe Newton-Conover at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Maiden will face off against rival Bunker Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
