It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kohelet Yeshiva had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 74-56 victory over the The Bruins. The final score was a far cry from the score of their previous head-to-head, which saw the teams combine for two points.
It was another big night for Asher Kahlon, who scored 31 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Kohelet Yeshiva's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Benjamini, who scored 17 points.
Kohelet Yeshiva's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. As for Community Academy of Philadelphia, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
Kohelet Yeshiva has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Cavaliers at 5:15 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Girard College focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Tuesday. Community Academy of Philadelphia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
