Rittman is 1-9 against Chippewa since September of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Indians will venture away from home to take on the Chipps at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Rittman was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They won by a set and slipped past Andrews Osborne Academy 3-2.
Rittman wouldn't go down easily and took Andrews Osborne Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 21-25, 18-25, 15-10.

Mackenzie Beltz went supernova, getting eight digs and three aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last ten games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Madison Beltz, who had 16 digs and two assists.
They weren't the only good server: Rittman was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August.
Meanwhile, Chippewa earned a 3-1 win over Central Christian on Monday.
The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 11-25, 25-15, 25-14.
Chippewa now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Rittman, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-6.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Rittman has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6 aces per game. However, it's not like Chippewa struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.3 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Rittman suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Chippewa when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
