Montesano had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Rochester on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Warriors. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by eight runs or more this season.

Montesano's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Rochester, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montesano will head out to square off against Hoquiam at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are facing the Grizzlies at the right time seeing as the Grizzlies are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Rochester, they will venture away from home to take on Rainier at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
