Michael Buschelman gave up the fewest hits he has since back in May of 2024 on Friday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because North Eugene is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-11 otherwise.

Buschelman's strong effort led North Eugene over Springfield and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Millers are limping into the matchup having lost 19 straight on the road dating back to last season.
