Basketball Recap: Carl Hayden Community's Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Carl Hayden Community lost against Mountain Pointe back in November of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Carl Hayden Community Falcons fell just short of the Mountain Pointe Pride by a score of 40-38. The matchup marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Carl Hayden Community still got an impressive performance from Prince Cash, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. Those 20 points gave Cash a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mouhamed Khoule, who posted four points in addition to five rebounds and four blocks.

Carl Hayden Community's defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-6. As for Mountain Pointe, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Carl Hayden Community wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 83-20 win against Metro Tech on the 23rd. As for Mountain Pointe, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 74-61 victory against Arizona College Prep on the 23rd.
