Paden City is 0-10 against Valley since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Paden City Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Valley Lumberjacks at 7:00 p.m. Paden City comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
On Monday, Paden City took a serious blow against Beallsville, falling 54-20. Paden City has not had much luck with Beallsville recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Lexi Mathis was Paden City's leading scorer, having posted ten points.
Kimberly Burch held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Valley strolled past Beallsville with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 51-37. Given Valley's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 71st in West Virginia, while Beallsville is ranked 719th in Ohio), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Paden City bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Valley, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Paden City lost to Valley on the road by a decisive 53-37 margin when the teams last played on December 1st. Can Paden City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
