Berlin won the last time they faced Bulkeley/Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy/Weaver, and things went their way on Saturday, too. Berlin took the matchup and then some with a 41-0 victory over Bulkeley/Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy/Weaver. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-0.
No one put up better numbers for Berlin than senior Kevin Dunn, who brought his A game into the match. He passed for 263 yards and 4 touchdowns. They also got a significant boost from senior Alex Halkias, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 111 yards. This was the first game for both teams, giving Berlin a 1-0 record and starting Bulkeley/Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy/Weaver off at 0-1.
After their action against one another, the teams are leaving the conference to test themselves against outside opponents. Next week Berlin take on East Catholic at 6:30 PM. As for Bulkeley/Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy/Weaver, they will face off against Plainville.
