After five games on the road, Blanket is heading back home. They will take on the Santa Anna Mountaineers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Anna took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Blanket, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Blanket didn't have too much trouble with Gustine on the road as they won 47-32.
Meanwhile, Santa Anna lost to Cross Plains at home by a decisive 51-37 margin on Tuesday.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Dakota Donham, who scored 8 points. Another player making a difference was Otillio Padilla, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
Blanket's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. As for Santa Anna, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
Everything went Blanket's way against Santa Anna in their previous meeting back in December of 2019 as Blanket made off with a 57-31 win. Will Blanket repeat their success, or does Santa Anna have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
