The Blacksher Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the W.S. Neal Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Blacksher will be strutting in after a win while W.S. Neal will be coming in after a defeat.
Blacksher made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Washington County, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Blacksher blew past Washington County 8-2 on Friday. Blacksher might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.
Brayden Bailey made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Bailey was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March.

In other batting news, Jamison Coleman was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He has become a key player for Blacksher: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 8-10 otherwise. Hunter White also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, W.S. Neal unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 12-5 to Northview.
Like Blacksher, W.S. Neal also got a great game from a two-way player: Colton Cain. He struck out eight batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Cain was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Cain wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Eli Stone, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
W.S. Neal suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 14-6. As for Blacksher, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 14-10.
Blacksher couldn't quite finish off W.S. Neal when the teams last played back in February and fell 6-4. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
