The Tolar Rattlers had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 61-6 victory over Bangs. The result was nothing new for Tolar, who have now won seven matchups by 23 points or more so far this season.
Isaac Blessing continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 170 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Garrison Nation was another key contributor, rushing for 51 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Tolar's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Bangs, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tolar will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on San Saba at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. San Saba is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Bangs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
