Chattahoochee have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will square off against Dunwoody at 8:00 PM on Friday. The two teams have had a rocky road up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Chattahoochee and six for Dunwoody.
We expected Chattahoochee to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Alpharetta two weeks ago, and they did. Chattahoochee found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 21-50 punch to the gut against Alpharetta. Chattahoochee got a solid performance out of senior Max Webb, who picked up 129 yards on the ground and caught passes for 67 yards; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.
Meanwhile, Dunwoody suffered a grim 26-47 defeat to North Atlanta last Saturday. The state rankings had actually given Dunwoody a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Chattahoochee didn't have too much trouble with Dunwoody the last time the two teams met as they won 30-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chattahoochee since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
